Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin 3-Piece Gift Set

I have owned this set for several years. Bought another for my son and

daughter-in-law. Does all I need it to in prep work. They need sharpening a little more often than the more expensive brands, but that's the only negative.

I already have a nice set of Henckels Four Star knives, so I ordered these knives just to see what they were for this low price. They are good looking knives that are well made. The chef's knife blade is quite large and the packaging calls them "Commercial" knives. Blade size is similar to some Forschner commercial knives I have used. The knives say the same thing that the German-made Henckels knives do (about Fridour ice hardened and such), but they are made in Spain. That explains the low price and the set is labeled as a "Gift Set".

Low rating (rather than 5 stars) is because of the misleading product description. I would still recommend this set for anyone looking for quality knives at a very reasonable price. You can never have too many good cooking knives.

These were given to my sister and brother-in-law, who had absolutely pitiful knives - it drove me crazy. Well, I keep getting thanks for the gift, and being told how great the knives are - and now when I visit I don't have to be frustrated with dull, useless knives. Perfect all around!
