I LOVE this knife, infact I have lots of Forschner Victorinox knives and I love them all. I use this knife every day to cut fruit in the morning. It's light weight and that's good for me because I have small hands. I think these knives are perfect as steak knives also, just the right length.

This is a great knife! It's sharp and light and works well as a prep knife. It's also dishwasher safe!

I bought this since I am looking for a non-serrated steak knife that can go in the dishwasher. The knife works really well, is very sharp and cuts steak much better than my expensive serrated Henkels. Stands up to dishwasher no problem.

Unfortunately, the plastic handle makes the knife feel very lightweight, unbalanced, flimsy, and cheap. I know they have an expensive rosewood handle version, but I wish they had a heavy handle that could "handle" the dishwasher. With very few exceptions (Lodge Cast Iron skillets), everything in my kitchen goes in the dishwasher or goes in the trash.

The knife still is a very useful tool and I 100% grab it every time I have a steak. It is a really amazing how effortlessly it works as a steak knife. It is just very strange to carve a piece of expensive meat with a knife that feels like a cheap disposable item, and I am embarassed to give it to my dinner guests.
