Product Review

The Ken Onion 11 Piece Deluxe Block Set features our 3-inch Paring Knife, 4" Chef's Knife, 5-inch Serrated Utility Knife, 5 1/2" Boning/Filet Knife, 6-inch Chef's Knife, 7" Hollow Ground Santoku Knife, 8-inch Carving Knife, 9-inch Multi Purpose Bread Knife, Honing Steel, Kitchen Shears, and Ken Onion Knife Block. It began as a single knife, the Shun Ken Onion Chef's Knife. But our customers demanded more. So we've expanded the series to include all of the most wanted styles. This Shun Knife by Kershaw is designed by Ken Onion, one of the world’s top knife designers. The Shun Ken Onion series features the clad VG-10 blade made famous in our Shun line. But then the handsome, stick-resistant blade is combined with Ken Onion's signature ergonomic handle design and the unique blade sweep found only in a Ken Onion knife. This patent pending design features a special angled curved bolster and specially shaped handle that fits perfectly in the hand, releasing all tension in your arm. The extra curve on the blade allows for an easier flowing motion across the cutting board. Combine all of this with the sharpest Japanese edge available, and you have perfection.

This review is from: Shun KOS1100 Ken Onion 11-Piece Deluxe Block Set (Kitchen)
This is the best set we have owned. The handles of the ken onion are amazing both weight wise and design. the blades are the sharpest we ever used. cuts with no pressure right through a pineapple, onion, bell pepper, tomato. You name it, it will cut it with ease.

We first learned about these knives at Williams and sonoma, then they stopped carrying these knives and i asked why, the sales lady told us because nobody was buying them because of the price. Well They are Worth the Cost!

You have to hold the knives a different way, by placing your thumb and index finger on the sides of the blades. The handle contours to your fingers doing this. It gives you exact placement of the knive.

Overall Best Knives. Sharpness and Comfort. Lifetime warrenty with Shun as well just send them in whenever you need sharpening.
