MIU France 4-piece, 4.5-inch high carbon forged steak knife set, item # 90056. These knives combine beauty with function. This forged steak knife set is perfect for home or restaurant use. The forged construction is extremely durable and will withstand many years of usage. Each knife is precision forged from a single piece of high carbon stainless steel and features an incredibly sharp, polished cutting edge. This seamless design is very smooth to the touch and keeps the food particles from getting lodged between the blade and the handle. The handles are made from polyoxymethylene with three brushed stainless steel rivets. The best way to maintain the knife's good condition is to sharpen it regularly - once a week for ordinary household use. Using a quality honing steel or sharpening stone will keep the knife's edge sharp and ready to use. These knives should be cleaned after every use. They are dishwasher safe; however, is always good practice to wash the knives by hand to preserve the integrity of the blades. Measures: 9.125" L x 0.75" W x 0.5" H.

Everyone knows that the best steaks are born, slaughtered and grilled in freedom-loving countries. (U!S!A!.... U!S!A!...) But, what about steak knives? Could it be that a good steak knife could be manufactured by workers who are unenlightened by or indifferent to freedom, democracy, and free markets? By workers who know nothing of two inch thick, 32-ounce, dry aged, prime porterhouse, seared over mesquite!? By hands whose ultimate purpose is to turn us all into tofu-loving, godless, Marxists?

What about a steak knife that pretends to be made in a socialist pseudo-democracy like France but is actually made in pseudo-communist China?

To be frank, these Freedom-hating knives appear to be manufactured to adequate tolerances. Their unserrated blades are seductively contoured... just like a paragraph out of Mao's Little Red Book.
