The LamsonSharp Rosewood Forged Cutlery Series features a one-piece, forged, full tang blade made of hardened and tempered high-carbon stainless steel from Soligen, Germany. The Oiled Rosewood hadles are naturally hard and heavy, making them extremely durable, they are triple riveted with brass rivets for perfect balance and weight. The taper-ground blades are polished, hand-edged and honed. All forged knives from LamsonSharp are shipped in their own KnifeSafe, to protect the knives and the people who use them. This comprehensive set contains the knives most frequently used in any kitchen, including an 8-inch chef's knife, two 3-1/4-inch parers, and a 6-inch utility, along with several special-use knives that any cook would be relieved to own, such as the 4-inch fruit knife and the 10-inch bread and roast slicer. Each knife features a sturdy high-carbon stainless-steel blade that is hand forged for strength and then riveted to its resin-infused handle.
Blades on LamsonSharp knives are hand honed for extra sharpness, and each has a full tang, which means the blade extends all the way through the handle. This adds heft and balance to the knives. Although the resin-infused handles are dishwasher-safe, it is best to hand wash fine cutlery like this in warm, soapy water. The edges have remained sharp with very little sharpening and the wood handles have maintained their beauty. Cut to the chase KNIVES ARE SUPER and MADE in USA nuff said there. I treat them like the precious tools that they are. Right out of the box they slice tomatoes, onions, peppers you name it like nothing I've ever experienced. I've learned quickly to follow recipes to a T as I'm a very inexperienced cook and do not know what spices etc to use. These knives make this new journey for me a blast. They are almost to good because I usually find myself slicing and dicing to thin and small because I can.The santuko works like the chefs on TV WOW. I'm slow but learning fast. Made a stew and recipe called for thin sliced onions I think I know what thin is but I just kept slicing thinner to see what they can do, like paper what fun drawback is that they all but melted in.
