I received this knife set as a wedding present almost four years ago and they're holding up well. The steak knives are very sharp and perfect for cutting meat. I don't use the large knives very often, but when we need them to carve meat, they perform well. The smaller knives are used on a daily basis. With the addition of a nice knife sharpener, I'm thrilled with these knives.

Never will buy kitchenaid again. One of the steak knives wouldn't fit in the slot because the slot hole wasn't deep enough. Also the block cracked the first day all the way up the side. It was garbage day, so the box was already thrown out. I bought this for my mom for mothers day. She likes lots of extra silverware, so we threw away the block, threw away her old knives, kept these knives and I ordered her a ginsu set with 354 reviews and an average of a 4.5 out of 5 rating. Just goes to show that you should be more careful in researching before buying products online.
