This review is from: Healthy Legend Deluxe Ceramic Knife Set in black blades of 4", 5" 6" - Black is harder than white blade
I was really excited to get this knife set because I already own a Kyocera ceramic white blade. In the description it says that this black blade is "harder than the white blade" well to my surprise as I was trimming a NY steak, the blade chipped when I accidentally cut into the bone. My Kyocera never chipped that way. I have 1 chip of the Kyocera & that was from waving the knife to get the excess water off & accidentally banged the edge onto my granite counter top. I though for sure the blade would have broken, but it was fine, only a chip. So yes very disappointed with the hardness of this blade. But if you are extremely careful, this set is super sharp. Value 3 stars.

Would have given it a 5 star except it chipped on something but still cuts better then anything I have. I am an avid cook and love good sharp knives. These just stay sharp will be buying another set soon just enjoy using them.

The knives are sharp, functional and worth the price. There isn't really anything wrong with them, but it would be nice it the manufacturer could change a couple small issues. First, the handle is too light weight. The knive doesn't feel solid and sturdy, but it does cut very well. I have a competitors ceramic knife with a heavier handle, which I prefer. Second is such a minor issue, but I gave 4 sets of these knives as Christmas gifts. The plactic packaging gave the knives a "cheap" perception. I would have prefered to spend a few dollars more and had packaging that would give a better first impression.
The knive are all good functional sizes. I believe the perfect set would eliminate the medium size knife and replace it with a long serrated knife for cutting bread. But then the set would cost more, also. I liked the knives except for the two minor issues described above.
