I purchased this set from Sam's Club a couple weeks back for $20 and I love them!! I use them every day!! I love that they come with the knife guards as well. It's great that I don't have to worry about cutting my hand every time I reach for one in the drawer or worry if my kids somehow reach in the drawer as well. They cut very clean and I don't have to use much force like some other "santoku" knives that I've owned. My favorite is the green knife, but they all do their job. I also love how they have their "purpose" written on the blade so you know what to use each knife for. Tomato knife, sandwich knife, etc...

This is a good basic knife set that gives you the essential knives for a basic kitchen. Also the colors make the knives stand out and easy to spot lying on your kitchen counter. I found this set at a warehouse club for under $19.00 so shop around. The two cons I have for this set are these. No where on the packaging does it say what the knife materials are made of. Due to the colored blades I and the sales people at the store thought these knives were ceramic and not steel. Due to this I feel the packing was a bit deceptive. They are however painted steel. The other concern is that one of the knives slip on sleeve will not stay on the knife, it just drops off. This was on the smallest one, the paring knife. Since it has a 30 year warranty I have contacted the manufacturer about the paring knife to get that problem addressed. If they do not take care of that I will update this review.

for the price this knife set is fantastic value, they're super sharp and each come color coded with a safety sheath to protect them (and you!)
