We've had these knives for 2 months and we absolutely love them so far. They came highly recommended from an online review sight I won't name. They are high quality, perfect weight, sharp, and the block looks great. For the price... you can't beat it. I'll write an update if I change my mind.

this knife set is really good quality for the price.I'm no masterchef but the knives are stylish looking & super sharp the handles feel comfy to hold & the knives feel nice & lightweight, ive got fairly small hands & i feel confident handling them, they make all chopping, dicing & slicing a breeze! the santoku is my favorite its a good size & is great for any food prep, if you don't want to spend a fortune on a knife set, you cant go past this one for the price!
The sharpest alternative,

In particular, I have used a full set of Chikara knives for the past three years. There hasn't been a single splinter in the block. The knives are still pretty sharp even though I haven't yet tried honing them myself. And each knife has certainly been made well enough made to survive the various and sundry forms of torture that I dish out.
I got this particular set as a gift for my daughter. It seemed like a useful adjunct to anything she might already have, and the pricing was very reasonable. I especially like the idea of a set designed for prep work like dicing and slicing, since this little chore often seems to take second place to the glories of wielding a big chef's knife.
Please be forewarned, Chikara knives are extremely sharp compared to other knives. If you don't exercise some caution,...Read more
