Ginsu 14-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set with Block

I bought this set to replace a 12 year old Tramontina knife set which had finally seen the end of its usefulness. The Ginsu knives have heavy handles, are fairly well balanced, very sharp, and have very pointed tips, which is definitely something to be wary of, since it wouldn't take much pressure to accidentally stab oneself. The scissors, however, are not in the same class as the knives, as they are very cheaply made, and I can see them lasting only a few years at best. The hardwood block was made on such an angle that it was top-heavy with the knives installed, and we realized that removing a knife could easily tip the block forward, releasing the other knives toward the person. Therefore, I removed the rubber feet and sanded the knife block's bottom on my 4" spindle/belt sander to make the block sit at a more vertical angle. Compared to every knife set block out there, this is a great product for a great price! The quality for the Stainless Steel is amazing. I love it! Shipping was great, it was packed well and it arrived just in time. Great product and great service!

The knives in this set are awesome. The scissors were kinda flimsy for kitchen scissors, I think they need to upgrade those.
