I purchased the R.R. Furi knife set not too long ago. I have been more than pleased with the set; it is excellent. So, I figured I would go ahead and give the kitchen shears a shot; terrible mistake. This pair of kitchen shears is the worst kitchen purchase I have made in my 32 years on Earth. Yes, the shears separate for easy cleaning. It does not matter in the least because, you don't need to wash what you don't ever use! The shears cannot cut a plastic bag; seriously! I considered writing a letter to R.R. informing her of this disaster. I chose not to because, if R.R. made the decision to put her name on this piece of garbage then she deserves to look like the money hungry gal she appears to be. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! You should have been happy with the success of the knives instead of trying to take advantage of the situation!

I have to say first that I am not typically a big fan of celebrity-endorsed products. They tend to over promise and under-deliver and serve only to highlight exactly what happens when cheap Chinese products meet slick endorsement deals. This product is no different.

I paid about $10 for these and was drawn to a feature that I find to be invaluable when it comes to kitchen shears: the ability to come apart so you can put them in the dishwasher and really get them clean. This is one feature that the product delivers. They do come apart quite nicely. That being said, I can say that there really is only one flaw. The scissors don't cut. When I say they don't cut I am not complaining because I tried to cut apart a frozen steak or rip apart a can. I mean they won't cut anything! Plastic bags, flower stems, pizza...just about anything you would actually want to cut with kitchen scissors.

I have but two words to pass on with respect to the Rachel Ray Kitchen...Read more

These scissors are the WORST ever. I can't cut a thing. Not paper, not tape, not chicken, not a box, nothing!!
