Amazon.com Review

The Froggy mezzaluna from Füri Rachael Ray brings a sense of fun to even the most mundane chopping and mincing tasks. Originally from Italy and meaning "half moon," a mezzaluna features one or two parallel curved blades, very sharp, that rock back and forth to chop, mince, and dice everything from parsley, basil, and garlic to walnuts and chocolate. The double-bladed Froggy mezzaluna is topped by a bright green handle amusingly shaped with frog eyes, and made from polypropylene and rubber with antimicrobial protection. The same comfortable handle is found on Rachael Ray's Gusto-Grip knives. Even kids will want to try using this kitchen tool, but parental supervision is advised.

Also included in the three-piece set are a wooden cutting board and a non-slip mat that keeps the board steady on a countertop. Measuring 13-1/2 by 1 by 7-3/4 inches, the reversible board features a bowl-shaped well on one side to accommodate the mezzaluna blades during chopping, and is flat on the other side. Wash the board and mat by hand after use; the mezzaluna is dishwasher-safe. --Ann Bieri

I purchased this mezzaluna for my husband. It works incredibly well, we love it for cutting up fresh herbs. What makes it good also makes it dangerous. It's incredibly sharp blades have no permanent cover. My husband and I have both cut ourselves handling it.

I bought this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas and she said she loved it. It does a great job especially when chopping herbs. The wooden cutting board is good quality and easy to clean. It's a keeper!

I saw this and just had to have it. I love the color and the cutting board is of good quality. The blades are super sharp, so beware. After using the Froggy, I found I prefer cutting herbs and ect with a good chef knife. It is easier to control where the blade is going. I'm thinking of getting a traditional Mezzaluna with only one blade instead. It would be nice if this came with something to store the blades in. The plastic covers that it came with are easily cut through, and don't last. By storing it in a drawer, with no covers, the blades are sure to get dull quickly.
