Farberware Wood Jumbo Steak Knives, Set/4

As with the other reviews I also received knives with plastic black handles. They are a gift but I have not been able to find these knives anywhere else with wood handles or without. I think the black handles do look nice so I am not upset. (I saw the reviews ahead and knew they might show up although I am shocked that Amazon is selling them with false info.)
We received the same with wooden handles several years ago and have been very happy with them. We did dishwasher them and the wood is worn and faded as should be expected. I don't think I would put these in the dishwasher for fear that the plastic would crack much sooner.
I love the wide blade on these knives and their durability (in wood) so I will stick with them. Hopefully my sister will not be disappointed with them.

These knives look like they will be ok, they are a gift. My problem is the way they are shown they look like light colored wooden handle steak knives. The add says they are wood. When I got them, they are black handled and they don't look like wood at all. Also, on the packaging it does not say wood handles. I really can't tell that they are. The bad thing about it is they are Christmas gifts, I ordered three sets, and it is too late to exchange them. I am very disappointed. They are probably good knives, just not what I expected to get.

We ordered the Farberware Steak Knives with the wooden handles. We have had these knives before but they were lost in our last move. We were sent steak knives with plastic handles. We needed them bad enough we decided to settle and keep them but were disappointed we didn't get the ones we ordered. The knives themselves are great.
