I received this knife set as a gift a few years ago. Within a month, two of the steak knives were broken. Two years later, I have two steak knives left. The handle is so flimsy that they just snapped in half when trying to use them on anything harder than a cucumber. The plastic broke, and the blade fell right out. The bigger knives work great, and I have used the grooved knife on potatoes a lot. I would suggest spending a little more money and getting a stronger set.

very poor quality, these knifes cannot cut straight, not even soft veges. even the bigger ones are flimsy, get rusted easily.i wasn't able to use a single knife out of this set. absolutely useless. dont buy.

After a couple of months, the tang will break through the plastic handle, but that is only if you use these knives on vegetables and fruits. Heaven knows what would happen if you tried cutting anything harder with them.
