I paid about $15 for this knife set, so I did not expect much. However, these knives are GREAT. They're sharp and fairly well-made, and seem sturdy. I used the chef knife to cut some onions and celery yesterday, and it was like slicing through butter. The handles are lightweight plastic, but they don't feel as if they're about to fall apart or snap off. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a knife block, but that has no bearing on the quality of the actual knives. I definitely recommend this product.
