We already had one set of the steak knives from a prior purchase elsewhere. We decided to get another set and the price at amazon was great. We sharpen the knives occasionally as they become dull after using them every day. I would recommend buying them.

Knives have a nice feel and balance. Took a little sharpening out of the box, but that's usually the case. Nice knives, look better than the plastic and wooden riveted-handle steak knives.

These are nice day-to-day steak knives. I have found a bit of discoloration on them, and we have only had them for a couple of months, so I am not sure how durable they will be long-term, but we have not babied them at all either. I think they would probably last a long time if you hand wash them and dry them quickly. We have run them through the dishwasher and left them in the drying rack too. They have a nice feel and match nicely with our other silverware. I recommend, especially if you are willing to baby them a bit.
