I have just begun a cutlery collection and these looked nice for the price. They arrived in good condition and are pretty sharp. I've been able to cut vegetables well, even tomatoes which normally need a serrated knife. They have a nice heft to them and the handles are comfortable. I am not sure why the item being reviewed says "3-Piece" when there are only two knives.

I gave these knives to my wife on Christmas and she loves them. They are super sharp like a Shun at a fraction of the price. The balance of the knife feals great in my hand and they cut through vegetables like warm butter. I treat my knives very well and these knives hold up as well as my Wusthofs. Unlike a previous review, my knives arived new and the gift box was in great shape.

I was pretty disappointed in the condition of this set. The first thing I noticed was the box the set came in. It looked like an old box, very scuffed with faded in at the corners and seams. The knives do not look like they were made for the case they came with. They did not fit snug in the cut out forms they sit in. So none of that has anything to do with the performance of the product. Looking at the 2 knives I would say they were either a display item or a used and returned item. The black rubber on the handles was a bit faded and and scuffed from use. The blades were scratched and scuffed as well. It was evident that the blades had been sharpened but not professionally. I took a piece of printer paper and holding it up, the small knife did cut the paper but ripped the paper. The large knife would not cut the paper until I laid it down.
