I think that while you need a bread knife, a super nice bread knife is a bit of overkill. This one gets the job done. Its a bit heavy and the blade is a bit thick (If I'm being picky) but its worked great for over a year. The tomato knife is a nice addition but probably the knife I use least in my rack. The labeling on the butt is a nice feature for people that don't know your knives by sight.
