I LOVE this cutting board!!! We recently gutted our kitchen and because of expenses opted for the cheaper formica countertops in black. I saw the first scratch on the counter one week later (we have 3 boys.) That's when I decided to buy three of these cutting boards to place on the most used areas of the kitchen counter. They are fabulous....the gripper bottoms work really well to anchor the boards and they are saving my counters from male distress!!! Two reasons to buy them....looks and function.

Good Unless Warped,

I bought one of these a couple of years ago after the Cook's Illustrated review. I liked it very much, it has an excellent cutting surface and stays perfectly in place due to the unique knobby design on the underside. A salesperson trying to be helpful told me to just put some shelf liner under my cutting boards to stabilize them, but I explained to her that the point of this board's design was to eliminate the need to do that.
My old board took a beating and is still perfectly flat. I never put it through the dishwsher, though, as others have mentioned. I'm now in the position of having to replace it while...Read more

Useless when it warps,

This cutting board is great when it's brand-new. But after it's been through the dishwasher a few times (with NO heated drying cycle), it warps so the bottom becomes convex, and it completely loses its grip. It now spins freely on my countertop.
Cook's Illustrated "highly recommended" this board in January 2008, but they obviously didn't evaluate it after it had been through the dishwasher.
